WASK Radio Group has simulcasted WASK-FM since the mid 1990s. In August 2006, the station began running independently of WASK-FM when it acquired rights to run ESPN Radio in the Lafayette market full-time. It began running local sports in 2008 with former Purdue Boilermaker Offensive Lineman Kelly Kitchel, former WLFI-TV Personality Clayton Duffy and former Journal and Courier writer Brendan Murphy as hosts.
WLFI News Channel 18 is the CBS television affiliate in West Lafayette, Indiana that serves the Lafayette, Indiana metropolitan area. It operates on digital channel 11. Its transmitter is located in Rossville, Indiana. It is owned by LIN Television, who also owns WISH-TV in Indianapolis, WANE-TV in Fort Wayne and WTHI-TV in Terre Haute.
The Journal & Courier is a daily newspaper serving Lafayette, Indiana and surrounding communities. It was established in 1920 through the merger of two local papers, the Journal and Free Press (established in 1829 under the name John B. Semans' Free Press) and the Courier (established in 1845). With its change of format on July 31, 2006, the Journal & Courier became the first daily newspaper in North America to use the Berliner layout.
