The Community Investment Committee has the difficult job of determining how contributions to the United Way campaign will be used. The many volunteers who serve on the committee are from diverse backgrounds and occupations. This diversity insures that many views and opinions are shared when important decisions are being made. The volunteers meet with every partner agency that seeks funding from United Way. They thoroughly study agency submissions and ask tough questions. The group invests resources in partners that deliver results, with the goal of making long-term change in the community. Committee members also work closely with United Way staff, and our community partners to ensure that together, through the investment of financial and non-financial resources, we are improving our community by focusing on education, income and health.
